In 2011 he defended his thesis for the degree of Holder of Habilitation degree in Medicine on two specialties 14.01.16 — psychiatry and 14.01.17 — narcology.

Karazin Kharkiv National University; in 2015 the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine awarded him the medal “For significant contribution to the development of education and science.” In May 2016 for the Day of Science Kharkiv Regional State Administration awarded him diploma of a scholar in the fields of science named after Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov (in Medicine and Biology) for personal achievements in the field of science, a significant contribution to the solution of scientific, technical and socio-economic problems of the Kharkiv region.
Author and co-author of 222 publications, including 119 scientific papers, 71 of them — of educational-methodical character, 8 Ukrainian utility model patents, 19 certificates of registration of copyright for the project, 4 rationalization proposals and 1 scientific discovery. Out of these, 63 articles have been published in professional journals in Ukraine and abroad. There have been defended 3 PhD theses, presented to the official defense — 2 PhD theses; currently have been planned and worked out 7 PhD and 3 doctoral theses.

Born in the village Potoki, Kremenchug district of Poltava region. In 1954 he graduated from the Medical Faculty of Kharkiv Medical Institute. He has been working at the same institute, almost all the time — at the department of nervous diseases, from intern to professor. Since 1962 — Associate Professor, in 1969 — Professor of the Department. Since 1971 — Head of the Department of nervous diseases after the neurologist G.D. Leshchenko, in 2002-2004 — Professor of this department. Since 2002 the department is headed by Academician of Ukrainian Academy of Sciences I.A. Grigorov. Since 2005 — Professor of Neurology of the Department of General Practice — Family Medicine. Has been developing research in the direction of early vascular disease of the brain and preventive angioneurology.
For a series of works on the principles of prevention of acute and chronic disorders of cerebral circulation was awarded the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 1993. In the same year he was elected an academician of the Academy of Sciences of higher education.
Under his leadership the directions of the study of atherosclerosis in people of different professions, Parkinson’s disease, diseases of the autonomic nervous system have been developed. He studied the mechanisms of epilepsy, the biochemical basis of the formation of the epileptic focus.
He is the author of over 300 scientific works, including 5 monographs, textbooks and manuals for doctors and students.
Under his leadership 6 doctoral and 41 PhD theses have been prepared. He created a large school of clinicians, neurologists and scientists. Dubenko is a member of the European Federation of Neurological Societies, the Education Committee of the World Neurological Federation.
More than 30 years has been the head of Kharkiv Scientific Society of Neurologists, later — its honorary chairman. Since 1985 has been Honored Scientist of the USSR — for outstanding achievements in the field of neurology.

Holder of Habilitation degree in Medicine, Professor (V.N. Karayin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine)
He graduated in 1973 from Donetsk National Medical University named after M. Gorky, specialization “Medicine”, and in 1984 graduated from School of Mechanics and Mathematics, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. In 1973 he became an assistant of the Department of Human Anatomy of Donetsk National Medical University, in 1978 he moved to the Department of Internal Medicine of the same University in a similar position, where he worked until 1984. From 1984 to 1988 he headed the Laboratory of Experimental Cardiology of Kharkiv branch of Kiev Research Institute of Cardiology named after Academician N.D. Strazhesko. In 1988-1991 he was Deputy Director for Science, head of the Department of Gastroenterology of the Kharkiv Research Institute of Internal Medicine of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, then in 1991-1993 — Deputy Director for Science, head of the clinical department of the Kharkov Research Institute of Microbiology and Immunology of Ukraine. In 1992 N.I. Yabluchansky was the first dean of the revived School of Medicine (then Faculty of Fundamental Medicine) as part of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and worked in this position until 2008. Then, in 1992, he headed the Department of Internal Medicine, has been in charge of it till now.
In 1974 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Morphometry of autotransplanted and allotransplanted lungs in the experiment.” In 1989 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic “Laws of uncomplicated and complicated cure for myocardial infarction.” In 1993 he was awarded the title of professor.
N.I. Yabluchansky leads active pedagogical activity, providing his valuable experience and knowledge to the students of the School of Medicine. He delivers lectures on propaedeutics of internal medicine, conducts workshops, laboratory classes and seminars on internal medicine, organizes clinical reviews of patients and medical concilia, together with the department staff and students.
N.I. Yabluchansky is the author of 10 books with the stamp of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, more than 20 books and monographs, 100 manuals and guidelines, about 25 articles in journals included in the foreign scientometric databases and have the impact factor, more than 1000 articles in domestic specialized publications. He has more than 100 patents and author’s certificates. With his active participation there were organized and conducted about 50 scientific and practical conferences, including 35 international ones.
Under the leadership of N.I.Yabluchansky there were successfully defended 36 PhD and 3 doctoral dissertations, and now there are planned and carried out 5 PhD and 2 doctoral thesis.
The scope of research and professional interests of N.I. Yabluchansky at this stage of its work is theoretical, experimental and clinical cardiology, mechanisms of cure of myocardial infarction, heart failure, new diagnostic methods in cardiology, mathematical modeling of blood circulation and autonomic nervous regulation of blood circulation, the philosophical issues of medicine, reforms in healthcare system.
V. A. Abramov
V.A. Abramov graduated from Donetsk Medical Institute in 1967, specialization “medicine” (magna cum laude). After graduation he worked as a psychiatrist in the regional clinical psychiatric hospital in Donetsk. Since 1969, and currently works at Donetsk National Medical University named after M.Gorky: since 1969 — postgraduate studies at the Department of Psychiatry; since 1972 — Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry; since 1979 — Associate Professor. In 1972 he defended his thesis on the topic “Studies of adaptive functions of visual and auditory analyzers in patients with schizophrenia and presenile psychosis”, and in 1986 — a doctoral thesis on the topic: “Clinical and social characteristics and rehabilitation of patients with consequences of the work traumatic brain injury “.
Since 1988 V.A. Abramov has been Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology.
For 22 years he has been working in the dean’s office, as a deputy dean of the 1st Medical Faculty (1975-1986), and since 1987 till 1996 — as Dean of Medical Faculty №2.
In 1989 he was awarded the title of professor. V.A. Abramov ranks high as a psychiatrist and educator. He is distinguished by erudition and deep knowledge of the fundamental problems of psychiatry. Professor V.A. Abramov has made a great contribution to the development of the foundations of social psychiatry and organization of psychiatric care. By decision of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine meeting in 2010, he has been heading the organizational and methodological center for the development of areas of rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders. Has developed a set of guidelines approved by the Ministry of Health and Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, on important issues of de-stigmatization, rehabilitation and ethical-legal provision of mental health care.
V. A. Abramov is the author of more than 400 scientific papers in national and international scientific publications on various issues of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology, including 27 monographs, 32 guidelines, 12 manuals, 15 rationalization proposals, co-author of a textbook on psychiatry.
He prepared two doctors of medical sciences and 15 PhDs in Medicine.
V.A.Abramov is the founder and editor in chief of the “Journal of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology,” a member of the editorial board of seven scientific and medical journals, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine, member of the Presidium of the scientific and practical society of neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists of Ukraine.
The merits of Vladimir Abramov are appreciated with high state awards and honorary titles: marked by diplomas of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the chief administration of healthcare of Donetsk State Administration, scientific and practical society of neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists; in 2000 was awarded a diploma of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the monograph “Alzheimer’s disease: a multidisciplinary research”, in 2005 was awarded a diploma of a laureate of the contest named after Academician of Acadeny of Medical Sciences of Ukraine V.P. Protopopov for the monograph “Chronic mental disorders and social reintegration of patients”; in 2012 — Certificate of honor and a medal “Flagman of Medicine” by the Health Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

Head of the Department of psychiatry, psychotherapy, medical psychology and Narcology of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies of Donetsk National Medical University named after M.Gorky, Holder of Habilitation degree in Medicine, Professor.
He is the author of over 350 scientific papers (29 international publications, 16 monographs and textbooks). His works “Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology in the rehabilitation of women” (2002), “Alcohol and drug addiction in adolescents (2004),”Forensic sexology” (2005) in different years were awarded diplomas of the winner of the contest named after Academician V.P. Protopopov to be the best monograph in the field of psychiatry, neurology and narcology. In 2010 the textbook “Fundamentals of Clinical Psychology” became the winner of the contest of Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine. The monograph “Modern contraception” (2006) was reprinted in Russia, and “Biological markers of reproductive capacity of men” (2009) — in Bulgaria. Igor Babyuk is a member of the editorial boards of several national and European scientific journals, is the chairman of the Donetsk branch of the Association of sexopathologists and andrologists of Ukraine. During the period of work at the Medical University at the entrusted to I.A. Babyuk department annually internship and magistracy are completed by about 20 young professionals, more than 250 young doctors cover specialization and core courses of thematic advanced training and pre-certification courses, 5 PhD and 2 doctoral dissertation have been defended, 3 scientific works are scheduled, new training programs, computer control tests, guidelines have been developed, a computer lab, a library to help students have been organized, classrooms have been equipped, advisory and research work on clinical bases of the department is held, all the conditions for training of practitioners and developing relevant scientific fields have been created.
Formation of I.A. Babyuk as a scientist, physician, health educator and organizer, his professional identity and citizenship has been greatly influenced by his teachers — well-known scientists and teachers, Professor V.V. Krishtal, Professor I.I. Mavrov, professor I.I. Gorpinchenko, corresponding member of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Professor V.K. Born on February 14, 1943, corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, elected on July 4, 2007 with a degree in psychiatry and narcology; Habilitation degree in Medicine (1990), Professor (1991), Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2000), a psychiatrist of the highest category, holder of “Excellence of Health”, for several years worked as head of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology at Odessa National Medical University, Ministry of Health Ukraine. The department is a basis for teaching Narcology in higher medical institutions of Ukraine.
The leading scientist in the field of Psychiatry and Narcology, known founder of a new concept of the pathogenesis of substance abuse and mental illness, based on studies of violations of paroxysmal activity in the brain and nerve tissue plasticity. The main achievements of scientific activity — the creation of new highly effective treatment methods of mental and substance abuse disorders. The author of new directions in Psychiatry and Narcology: teenage narcology; psychiatry and medical psychology in infants (0 to 1 year); clinical drug receptology. He developed a unique method of conditioned reflex therapy for alcoholism and drug addiction.
He works on the study of the influence of socio-psychological crisis in modern society on the human psyche and discovered new clinical and pathogenetic aspects of psychogenic illness (noogenic neuroses). Highly qualified teacher of higher medical school, prepared and published a textbook “Psychiatry. Course of lectures”, which was recognized as the best textbook at the contest named after Academician V.P. Protopopov in 2006

A. P. Chuprikov
Honored worker of science of Ukraine, professor, holder of habilitation degree in Medicine, neuropsychiatrist Anatoly Chuprikov was born on February 17, 1937. In 1960 he graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Medical Institute, having passed in the sixth year a year-old subordinate in psychiatry with Professor V. V. Shostakovich. Even then, he showed interest in scientific work, which he subsequently successfully combined with practice. After work as head of the department in the district hospital, he entered Moscow clinical internship in Moscow to Professor S.F. Semionov, who headed the department at the Central Research Institute of Forensic Psychiatry named after V.P. Serbsky. He worked with Sergei Fedorovich for more than two decades and always remembers his teacher warmly. A.P. Chuprikov always explains to his students that, taking into account Leningrad roots of S.F. Semionov and scientific continuity, all of them are great-grandsons of the great V.M. Bechteriev.
Professor A.P. Chuprikov is the author of more than 400 publications, including 15 monographs and a number of popular science books. He prepared 30 PhDs and doctors of science.
Professor A.P. Chuprikov is the acknowledged creator of the scientific school of lateral neuropsychiatry. The achievements of the school can be attributed to inventions, patents, publications and monographs on lateral physiotherapy as an auxiliary method for the treatment of mental disorders.
The achievements of Anatoly Pavlovich certainly include the organization of a multi-year (since 1980) scientific and public campaign in defense of left-handed children from violent retraining. This company led to the fact that the union ministries of health and education issued official documents on this matter. Today, on the territory of former USSR, this has affected the fate of several million left-handed citizens.
In his research, Professor A.P. Chuprikov widely applies the latest information technologies in clinical neurophysiology, in particular for in-depth EEG analysis in mental illnesses.
S. K. Evtushenko
Born on April 11, 1941 in Donetsk. In 1948-1958 studies in secondary school. In 1958-1964 a student of Donetsk Medical Institute. From the 5th year worked in the neurology department of Hospital number 1 in Donetsk. In 1963-1964 (as a student of 6th year) passed a medical practice in Kramatorsk and worked as a pediatric neurologist. In 1964-1967 — Neurologist of mine number 18 in Sniezhnoie. In 1966 he organized the neurological department in the city. In 1967, by order of the Donetsk Organization of Healthcare was transferred as an intern of the 1st Neurology Department of clinical hospital named after M.I. Kalinin. In 1971, working as a practical physician, defends his thesis on “Serotonin and ceruloplasmin by neurorheumatism” (supervisor — Prof. Neurologist B.S. Agte and Prof. Pharmacologist I.V. Komissarov.). In 1971-1976 — Head of the newly established 2nd neurological department of clinical hospital named after M.I. Kalinin. In 1970-1977 — Regional neurologist. 1976-1981 — Assistant, Associate Professor, Department of Nervous Diseases of Donetsk Medical Institute. In 1985 he defended his doctoral dissertation on “Neurological manifestations of allergy — clinical, immunological and allergological studies” in two specialties: neurological disease; immunology and allergology. Scientific advisors in the doctoral dissertation were: prof. B.S. Agte — neurologist (Donetsk), academician-immunologist R.V. Petrov (Moscow), academician allergist A.D. Ado (Moscow).
In 1986 he received the title of professor, and for the first time in Ukraine this year organized the department of Pediatric Neurology and Reflexology of the Faculty of Postgradute Studies of Donetsk Medical Institute. In 1988, with the scientific permit from the Ministry of Health of the USSR in the group of 5 young professor of immunology has internship in neurology in France (Salpetriere hospital, clinics of M. Charcot) and visits the Institute of Immunology named after Louis Pasteur (the lab where Mechnikov worked).
At the organized department (for the first time in the USSR) course of pediatric acupuncture successfully functioned for 15 years. Because of the internal institute reform the Department initially referred to as “Pediatric Neurology and Clinical Neuroimmunology” (1994-1999), and since 2000 — Department of Pediatric Neurology and general Neurology of the Faculty of post-graduate education. In 1988, on the basis of the regional children’s home “Maliutka”, S.K. Yevtushenko organized center for the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy and immune deficiency. In 1994, he was the first in Ukraine to create an independent State Regional Children’s Clinical Center of neurorehabilitation, which later became the basis of the department.
During the existence of the department prof. S.K. Yevtushenko was able to organize four clinical sites: the clinic angioneurology of the Institute of Acute Surgery named after V.K. Husak of NAMS of Ukraine, Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital, Regional Children’s Clinical Center of neurorehabilitation, Regional Clinical Railway hospital. At the same time at clinical sites heads of the departments are members of the department (Associate Professor V.A. Simonyan — Institute of Acute Surgery, Associate Professor I.S. Lutsky — Regional Railway Hospital). The organization of new clinical sites made it possible to intensify the teaching process, to acquaint students with various neurological diseases. In 2005, due to the growth of various forms of epilepsy, especially the drug-resistant forms, on the initiative of Professor S.K. Yevtushenko regional children’s stationary antiepileptic centeris created on the basis of the Regional Children’s hospital, and it is possible to identify the family devastating forms of epilepsy, which allows subsequently to diagnose and treat children not only in Donetsk, but also from many regions of Ukraine. In 2010, with the active participation of Prof. S.K. Yevtushenko center demyelinating degenerative and autoimmune diseases of the nervous system in children is organized on the basis of the regional children’s hospital.
Over the years, Professor. S.K.Yevtushenko was awarded many certificates of the institute, city, regional and national level. S.K. Yevtushenko — holder of Excellence of Health of the USSR (1974), the Excellent Educator of Ukraine (2008). In 1996, S.K. Yevtushenko was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine. In 2001 Prof. S.K. Yevtushenko (in collaboration with well-known Ukrainian scientists) became the winner of the State Prize of Ukraine. In 2001 he was awarded the Order “For merits» (III degree). In 1996 Prof. SK Yevtushenko was elected Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine and awarded its academic awards: the Medal of Yaroslav the Wise (2001) and the Order of St. Vladimir (2004). Honorary citizen of Sniezhnoie (2002).
Professor S.K. Yevtushenko is the author of 750 scientific papers, 16 monographs, 12 patents, 19 methodical recommendations under the heading of Health of Ukraine. In 2005 Prof. S.K. Yevtushenko organized edition of the “International Neurological Journal” and is its editor in chief. The magazine has a mark Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine and included to the European citation index. Prof. S.K. Yevtushenko is a member of many international neurological societies and organizations, numerous times represented Ukrainian science abroad. S.K. Yevtushenko with students organized 2 international congresses, 7 international symposia, 14 conferences which were held on Donetsk.
At various times, had internships in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vilnius, Minsk and other cities. He participated in many international congresses and symposia. Familiar with neurological services in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy. Studied neuropaediatrics in Canada, Hungary, France and England. During his stay in neurological Mayo Clinic (USA) made a presentation about the features of immune rehabilitation of children with organic diseases of the nervous system. In 2010, by the decision of the Academic Council of the University of Cambridge professor S.K. Yevtushenko was included in the list of 100 best neuropaediatrics of the world.

Born on December 15, 1941, village Zapruddya Rokitnyansky district, Kyiv region) — Ukrainian psychologist, Doctor of Psychology (1991), Professor (1992), Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. He is considered the founder of Ukrainian scientific school of genetic psychology. Academician-secretary of the department of psychology, age physiology and defectology of Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, served as Director of the Institute of Psychology named after G.S. Kostyuk, dean of medical and psychological faculty of O.O.Bogomolets National Medical University.
Full member of the International Council of Psychologists (USA), a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Education (RAE), a full member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences (Federal Republic of Germany, Hannover), chairman of the Society of Psychologists of Ukraine, Honorary President of the Ukrainian Association of doctors-psychologists, chairman of the expert council of Ukraine attestation board in psychological science, a member of the scientific and methodological council of the main department of civil service of Ukraine, the state Department of Ukraine for execution of punishments, the state border service of Ukraine, Ministry of health, the national expert commission of Ukraine on protection of public morals, a member of the expert council on humanitarian and social sciences at the state accreditation commission of Ukraine.
He graduated from the Faculty of Education of M.Gorky Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1965, he worked as a teacher, he was deputy director of the Darnytsa orphanage. In 1970 he began teaching at the Department of Psychology of Kyiv Pedagogical Institute. In 1975 he was appointed Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Psychology named after G.S. Kostiuk of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
Since 1985 — Head of the Laboratory of Psychology of learning of Psychology Research Institute of the USSR. Since 1993 — Head of the Department of General and Medical Psychology of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, at the same time since 1997 — Director of the Institute of Psychology named after G.S. Kostyuk, and since 2000 — dean of Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University.
On the basis of the cycle of theoretical and experimental studies, and genetic-modeling method, under the guidance of S.D. Maksimenko there was created Ukrainian scientific school of genetic psychology. As a member of the International Council of Psychologists, S.D. Maksimenko is the coordinator of research on the development and use of experimental methods in the field of training and personal development.
Developed by S.D. Maksimenko elaborate molding and diagnostic methods are included in the European Bank for research procedures with longitudinal studies at Max Planck Institute (Munich).

B. V. Mikhaylov
B.V. Mikhailov was born on June 19, 1950 in a family of doctors. He graduated with honors from the Medical Faculty of the Kursk State Medical Institute in 1974. Since 1974, for 20 years he worked at the Ukrainian Institute of Clinical and Experimental Neurology and Psychiatry named after V.P. Protopopov (Kharkiv). From 1995 to 2000 he worked as vice-rector for scientific work of the Kharkov Institute of Advanced Medicine. Since 1999 till present is the head of the department of psychotherapy of Kharkov Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. In 1982 he defended his thesis, in 1994 — a doctoral thesis.
B. V. Mikhailov made a significant contribution to the development of a wide range of issues of psychotherapy, psychiatry, neuroscience, medical psychology. He developed clinical therapy of somatoform disorders, created a psychotherapy system for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, studied the neurobiological mechanisms of realization of psychotherapy, developed pharmacotherapy problems, investigated the clinical and pathophysiological mechanisms and treatment of sleep disorders, developed basis of psychotherapy in sports, bioinformatics concept of pathogenesis of mental disorders; created the concept of medical education psychologists. For scientific work he was awarded the Prize namedafter V.P. Protopopov of scientific and practical society of neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists of Ukraine.
Working more than 10 years as a leading specialist of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the field of “psychotherapy” and “medical psychology”, Boris Mikhailov made a great contribution to the organization of psychotherapeutic network in Ukraine, the publication of industry orders, introduction of new specialty — medical psychology.
Edited by B. Mikhailov the first in Ukraine textbook on psychotherapy was published. He is the author of over 450 scientific papers in national and international scientific journals on various issues of psychiatry, psychotherapy, medical psychology, narcology, including 15 monographs and textbooks.
Professor Boris Mikhailov has experience in international relations, he has represented Ukraine abroad. In 1986-1988 he worked as the head physician of the Soviet health care institutions in Libya. In 1989-1991 was trained on the issues of alcohol and chemical dependence in the United States. Was a member of the I and II World Congress for Psychotherapy in Vienna, XII World Congress of Psychiatrists in Hamburg, XVII European Congress of Psychiatry in Munich, a member of the government delegation of Ukraine in Helsinki.
Boris Mikhailov was directly involved in the organization of I, II and III National Congress of neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists in Ukraine, numerous scientific and practical conferences on issues of psychotherapy, psychiatry, medical psychology, sexology, and others. He is a member of the editorial boards of 8 professional medical publications.
B. Mikhailov contributes greatly to the training of the teaching staff. Under his leadership, there was developed the new educational and certification program in psychotherapy. Personally he prepared 4 doctors and 24 PhDs in medical sciences, is preparing a number of doctoral, PhD and master’s works. Under his direct leadership over the last 10 years, around 3,000 doctors improved their skills, which generally improved the level of care in Ukraine.
He is president of the National League of psychotherapy, psychosomatic medicine and medical psychology in Ukraine, Vice-President of the Association of psychotherapists and psychoanalysts of Ukraine, member of the Presidium of the scientific and practical society of neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists in Ukraine, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine. Boris Mikhailov is marked with diplomas of Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, the Main Department of Health of the Kharkiv regional state administration, scientific and practical society of neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists of Ukraine.

In 1973 he graduated from Kiev Medical Institute, worked at the ambulance station in Kiev, held an internship in Bakhmach, worked as chief physician and therapist in a rural district hospital in Chernihiv region, and then as a psychotherapist at the Republican center of sexual pathology at Kyiv Research Institute of Urology. In 1981 he defended his thesis on the problem of borderline mental disorders in sexological patients. Since 1986 — Assistant, since 1989 — Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry of O.O. Bogomolets Kiev Medical Institute (now O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University). In 1991 he defended his doctoral thesis on “Non-psychotic mental disorders in orthopedic diseases” and became head of the department. In 1992 he was promoted to professor, in 2004 got the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.
Since 1998 — the chief psychiatrist of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Chairman of the Board of Kyiv Regional Society of psychiatrists, medical psychologists and narcologists, a member of the Presidium of the Board of the neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists in Ukraine, a member of the Board of the International Association of emergency (extreme) psychiatry. He founded and became editor in chief of “Psychiatry and Neurology” scientific journal (2006), a member of the editorial boards of several other professional journals. Member of the expert council of Higher Attastation Commission of Ukraine (1999-2002). Co-chairman of the expert committee of the State Pharmaceutical Center of Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Develops the traditional theoretical and scientific-practical problems of psychiatry relating to the basic forms of mental disorders. He is the founder and co-founder of scientific fields as psychosomatic medicine and ecological psychiatry. Actively researches the issues of emergency (extreme) psychiatry, personality-oriented psychotherapy and psycho-diagnostics, organization of mental health services, and others. He has made a significant contribution to the preparation of the first Law of Ukraine “On psychiatric care” (2000) and 30 following legal documents. Author of over 240 scientific papers, including 17 monographs, academic and clinical guidelines, reference books, including the book “Psychic self-control” (A.K. Napreenko, K. Petrov, 1995), “Environmental psychiatry” (A.K. Napreenko, K.N. Loganovsky, 1997), the first fundamental Ukrainian textbook “Psychiatry” (edited by Prof. A.K. Napreenko, 2001).
Member of the Board of the World Association of extreme psychiatry. Member of the Presidium of the Board of the neurologists, psychiatrists and narcologists of Ukraine. Chairman of the Board of Kyiv Regional Society of psychiatrists, medical psychologists and narcologists.

The team of the department began to study the state of bone tissue in patients with lumbar pain in osteochondrosis of the spine, with multiple sclerosis, with discirculatory encephalopathy in the liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power station, with the consequences of a stroke, alcoholic encephalomyelian polyneuropathy. Pathogenetic connections of bone tissue damage were studied and analyzed in some pathologies of the nervous system.

I. K. Sosin
Holder of Habilitation Degree in Medicine, Professor, Honored inventor of Ukraine (Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Ukraine)
Born on May 19, 1938 in the village of Oktyabrske, Krasnograd district, Kharkiv region.
Ivan Kuzmich got higher medical education in Kharkiv Medical Institute (1958-1964). All his professional and creative activity is connected with neuroscience: psychiatry, narcology, medical psychology, psychotherapy. In 1981 he founded and still heads the country’s first chair of Narcology of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Professor I.K. Sosin is the founder of Ukrainian school of narcology. Due to its immediate organizational, scientific and educational activities there were laid the foundations of post-graduate training for narcologists.
Ivan Sosin defended his doctoral thesis in 1988 on “Drug-free treatments in Narcology”, establishing a new scientific direction. Author of over 800 scientific publications, including 17 monographs, 95 copyright certificates on inventions, utility models, patents. Prepared 30 doctors, PhDs, masters of medical and psychological sciences. A member of the dissertation council for doctoral theses at the Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology, National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Ivan Kuzmich is a member of editorial boards and councils of ten reputable scientific journals. He takes part in international congresses and symposia, adequately representing the Ukrainian science. He has many years of management experience in the health care organization and the system of higher education. For years I.K. Sosin served as chief physician of the Kharkiv Regional Psychiatric Hospital, the chief physician of the Kharkiv City Clinical Psychiatric Hospital, the head of the scientific and organizational department of Neurology Institute of Psychiatry and Narcology of AMS of Ukraine, head of the regional-level health care, vice-rector on educational work of the Ukrainian Institute of advanced medical training.
Ivan Kuzmich has twice been the winner of the Scientific Prize named after Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR V.P. Protopopov, for scientific achievement was awarded a silver medal of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR, a medal “For Valiant Labor”, numerous diplomas, thanks to the regional and national levels. I.K. Sosin’s biography has been presented in the publication “Outstanding students of the Kharkov Higher Medical School” in 2010 according to the rating expert assessment.

Was born on May 1, 1940 in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Khabarovsk Territory. After graduating from Secondary School No. 2, Kurakhovo in the Donetsk region studied at Kislovodsk Medical School, then at the Medical Faculty of Donetsk Medical Institute. Since 1961 — military medical assistant; 1963 — 1970 — student of medical institute, underground paramedic of mine Ganzivska — 2. After graduating from M.Gorky Donetsk Medical Institute on March 1, 1970 was appointed to the post of psycho-neurologist, Murmansk regional executive committee, city Apatity.
Since September 6, 1971 worked as a laboratory assistant of the Department of Psychiatry, DonDMI, and since October, 15, 1973 — assistant of the same department (head — Prof. Ye.A. Shcherbina). Since October 9, 1973 — PhD in Medicine.
On July, 20, 1984 S.I. Tabachnikov was awarded a habilitation degree in medicine, and in 1986 he received the academic title of professor at the department of psychiatry of DonDMU. Since January, 1, 1986 — founder of the Department of Psychotherapy and Psychiatry of DonDMU, and since June, 28, 1986 — Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Medical Psychology and Narcology with the course of Sexology of DonDMI. From 1978 to 1986. — First vice-rector for medical work of DonDMI. From 1989 to 1991. — President of medical and medical and technical cooperatives of the USSR. Since 1992 till present — President of the Association of Psychotherapists and Psychoanalysts of Ukraine.
Prof. Tabachnikov S.I. organized in 1991 the Donetsk Psychoanalytical Circle together with the school Paris 8 (France) and trained experts in psychoanalysis.
Professor Tabachnikov’s scientific works made a significant contribution to the development of psycho-hygiene, psycho-prevention and psychotherapy in modern industrial production. Repeatedly participated in international exhibitions “Coal-83” (Donetsk) and “Coal-85” (Czechoslovakia), as well as Exhibition of Achievements of People’s Economy USSR on the introduction of psychohygiene and psycho-prevention in coal, shipbuilding, metallurgical, chemical, nuclear industry, for that he was awarded one gold (1986), two silver medals (1988, 1991) and diplomas of these exhibitions. Among the awards of prof. Professor Tabachnikov S.I. took an active part in the elimination of the consequences of the accident directly at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant as the head of the medical team of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (from October, 4, 1986 to October, 20, 1987), and from January, 1, 1988 to June, 30, 1988 was the head of the rehabilitation and recreation center for workers at the PO “Combine” (Chernobyl) and VO “Spetsatom” (Pripyat). He was awarded two medals of the President of Ukraine (Zhukov (1998) and the Defender of the Fatherland (1999)) for active participation in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, diplomas and thanks of the Civil Defense Headquarters of the USSR, two thanks to the USSR Government Commission, the Badge of Honor ” (2001), the Honorary Distinction of Honor on the 15th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, the gratitude of the USSR Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, the Honorary Award from “For Humanism” (1996), and the Hero of Chernobyl Order (2012) by the decision of the Council Center “Chernobyl Union of Ukraine” .
From December, 20, 1999 to October, 15, 2012 — Director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Social and Forensic Psychiatry and Narcology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (UNMI SSPN), which is the main in Ukraine on the problems of social and forensic psychiatry. From October, 15, 2012 — elected by competition as Head of the Department of Social and Clinical Narcology of the UNMI SSPN of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Since 2012 to the present time he is deputy chairman of the specialized Scientific Council of the Institute on specialty 14.01.16 — psychiatry and a member of the Scientific Approbation Council, a member of the Problem Commission on the specialty “Narcology”.
Professor S.I. Tabachnikov is the editor-in-chief of the International Psychiatric, Psychoanalytic and Psychotherapeutic Journal of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine, as well as a member of the editorial board of the journals “Bulletin of Mental Health”, “Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, “Journal of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology” and others. He participates in many international and world congresses on psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and narcology (France, Austria, Germany, Poland, Canada, Greece, Spain).
Under his leadership, 12 doctoral and 16 candidate dissertations were defended. He is the author of six monographs. He has more than 500 scientific papers, co-author of 4 textbooks. In 2002 he was elected academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine. Since January 2004 — the founder and academician-secretary of the department on mental health problems of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and since 2005 to the present time he is the chief scientific secretary of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Was born on September 10, 1946 in Kiev, Ukraine. In 1970 he graduated from the Kiev Medical Institute as a psychiatrist.
In 1970 he worked in Zhytomyr psychiatric hospital, specialty — psychiatrist. 1971 — Korosten, Zhytomyr region, psychiatrist. 1972 — Emergency Hospital, Kiev, psychiatrist.
1972-1982. In May, Committee for State Security arrested him for “anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda.” The court, which was held in 1972, accused him of distributing “samizdat” and “tamizdat”, “false information about violations of human rights in the USSR”, including abuse of psychiatry for political purposes. The main reason for the arrest was “Correspondence examination in the case of General P.G. Grigorenko,” in which Grigorenko was recognized as mentally healthy (contrary to the official view that he was mentally ill).
On the verdict of the court Semyon Gluzman received 7 years of strict security camps and 3 years of exile. During his stay in the camp he continued to engage in scientific and journalistic activities. In particular, in co-authorship with Vladimir Bukovsky, he wrote “A Handbook on Psychiatry for Dissidents”. Then, in absentia, was elected a member of the international pen-club. Poems and prose by Gluzman were published in Russian, Ukrainian, English and French.

Krasnov is one of the founders of the ecological trend in psychiatry, he is the author of well-known works in the field of methodology of psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, psychopathology, affective pathology, psychosomatics, psychiatry of catastrophes and emergency situations. He develops new scientific and practical models of helping people with mental disorders on the basis of the interaction of psychiatrists and other professionals in the general medical network. Under the supervision of V.N. Krasnov, prominent figures of Russian science defended their theses: A.B. Kholmogorova, Yu. P. Boiko, etc. In total, 9 doctors of medical and psychological sciences, 19 PhDs were prepared. Professor V.N. Was born in 1946 in village Borovke, Kitsmansky district of the Chernivtsi region in a peasant family. Ever since childhood, he has dreamed of aviation and military service. At the same time, while still a pupil of a village school, he showed great interest in studying medical and biological disciplines. Extreme diligence, natural intelligence, observation and self-discipline, the ability to set a great goal led to the fact that after graduating from the Kiselevsky secondary school in 1963 he entered the first year of the Chernivtsi Medical Institute. He studied perfectly and at the end of the fourth year he transferred to the medical faculty of the Saratov Medical Institute. From this time, the fate of Miroslav Mikhailovich is inextricably linked with the military service, which he began as a doctor of the aviation-technical unit. After the termination of clinical residency at the Department of Nervous Diseases of the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy as an excellent student was appointed to the post of senior resident of the clinic of nervous diseases.
Talent, extraordinary perseverance and working capacity played an important role in scientific work: he was not afraid to take up the most difficult issues of military neurology, which ultimately determined the range of his scientific interests. Working at the department, Miroslav Mikhailovich has consistently passed the path from a teacher and a senior teacher. In 1980 he successfully defended his thesis. In 1994, he was appointed to the post of head of the Department of Nervous Diseases of the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov, and later – the chief neuropathologist of the Armed Forces of Russia.
In 1995, the scientist successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Neuropathology of a Combined Craniocerebral Injury.” This year he received the honorary title of “Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation”.
Subsequently, Miroslav Mikhailovich was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, he became the leading Russian scientist in the field of neurotraumatology, angioneurology, and also made a great contribution to the study of the pathogenesis of traumatic brain disease in blasting and mine explosion blasts.
Professor M.M. Odinak is the author and editor of the textbook “Military Neurology”, which, in addition to questions of the pathogenesis of military neurology, reflected the problems of toxic damage to the nervous system, rehabilitation and organization of neurological assistance during the peaceful and military period. He is the author and co-author of more than 300 scientific works, including 4 monographs, 2 textbooks and 18 teaching aids, and 19 scientific papers published in foreign publications.
The staff of the Department of the Clinic of Nervous Diseases conducts a great work on the training of neuropathologists in the faculties of training doctors, postgraduate training in neurology, manual therapy, reflexotherapy, neurofunctional diagnostics.
For a long period, as the chief specialist of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Miroslav Mikhailovich performs a great deal of organizational work to improve the provision of neurological assistance in medical institutions of the RF Ministry of Defense, manages scientific research in military districts and fleets. Under his leadership, 31 PhD and 11 doctoral dissertations were defended.

In 2000 he was awarded the Gold Medal of V.M. Bekhterev of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is one of the leading specialists of the Russian Federation on problems of adolescent psychiatry.

He was born on April, 25,1940 in Kemerovo, RSFSR (RF). From 1947 to 2003 he lived in Chisinau, MSSR (RM). From 2003 to now he lives in Odessa (Ukraine). After graduating from high school he worked as a printer at the poly-combine. From 1959 to 1962 – an urgent service in the SA. In 1968 he graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the Chisinau State Medical Institute with a specialty of a medical doctor. In the period 1967-1969 he graduated with honors from the subinternature and internship in psychiatry with the qualification of a psychiatrist. Then he worked as a practical physician in the system of public health for 35 years (the psychiatric psychoneurologist of the hospital of Ministry of Internal Affairs, the psychotherapist / the center of psychotherapy at the territorial polyclinic.) Over the years of practical medical work he has helped more than 25 thousand patients, of whom more than 4/5 suffered from borderline mental disorders, of whom more than 12,000 patients underwent psychotherapy personally as their main treatment, of whom more than 75% had a maximum therapeutic effect. He defended his PhD thesis (“Respiratory disturbances in neuroses: peculiarities of clinical manifestations, pathogenesis and treatment”), then his doctoral thesis (“Somatoform autonomic dysfunction: clinic, pathogenesis, therapy”) in Leningrad / St. Petersburg Research Institute named after V.M. Bekhterev (scientific consultant professor B.D. Karvasarskii).
